Frequently Asked Questions

Are you approved to provide me with an appraisal of a commercial property?

Yes. In order to perform an appraisal of commercial real estate in Lake County, a person must have a special license granted by the Department of State; they must hold a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license - only an appraiser with this particular license is permitted to appraise commercial real estate. All of our appraisers possess a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license.

How long does the whole process take?

It depends. It could take as little as a few days or as much as a month or more. It depends on a number of factors; the type of property (or properties) to be appraised, the intended use of the appraisal, the scope of work and type of appraisal reporting format (learn more about our reports), as well as how quickly or slowly the appraiser is provided with requisite documentation such as rent rolls, etc.

Will your appraisal report be acceptable for my particular purpose?

Yes. Prior to beginning the appraisal, you and your appraiser will discuss the details of your situation and address your particular needs in order to determine an appropriate appraisal reporting format (learn more about our reports). Our appraisal reports are relied upon by financial institutions, courts, government agencies, attorneys, accountants, and individual property owners / investors throughout the country.
